K9 Clean Up 2021

K9 Clean Up 2021 ran 27th - 30th August!

Our initiative to clean up these areas began with #K9Cleanup2020, and continued with #K9Cleanup2021, with both we saw the wonderful dog owner community head out and clean up litter on their walks.

In 2021, donations and the proceeds from the t-shirts went to support the amazing work at Support Dogs!

Why #K9Cleanup?

In 2019, Buddy and I spent some time travelling up and down the country. Everywhere we went, we saw litter on our walks and Buddy, being an inquisitive dog, was always having a sniff or worse.

When we started K9 Nation, we wanted to build a community of dog owners that support each other. Combining these two things, we thought that a great way to bring the community together would be a litter picking event!

With so many dog owners across the country, we can really make a difference and improve the walks for everyone that uses them, human and dog alike!

Say goodbye to plastic bags & keep the ocean smiling

Adios Plastic originally came about in 2017 as a reaction to the devastating effects that plastic was having on the environment.

Almost all dog poo bags on the market are not as eco friendly as they claim! Companies were, and still are greenwashing customers using clever marketing techniques.

“Adios Plastic is here to offer consumers plastic-free alternatives to everyday products. Our love of animals means that compostable poo bags is our launch product, but don’t worry we will have many more products to come!”

“We’re so excited for this event,  and couldn’t be prouder to partner with K9 Nation for this cause. It’s a fantastic way to bring together the dog community, raise awareness and help us make changes to all of our dog’s environments. Because what’s more important than our furry companions?”

In 2021 we supported Support Dogs as part of the Clean up

As part of our K9 Clean Up campaign in 2021, we supported the charity Support Dogs!

Support Dogs is a national assistance dog charity that for the past 30 years has been providing life-saving care and support to children and adults affected by some of the most challenging medical conditions.

The charity trains and provides specialist assistance dogs for children with autism and adults with epilepsy and disabilities such as MS and cerebral palsy, enabling them to lead safer, more independent lives. 1 in 4 of the dogs they train come to the charity from rescue centres or as unwanted pets.
