Dog Popcorn

Having a cosy afternoon with a film and a bowl of buttery popcorn is everyone’s ideal way of relaxing. However, most people battle to know whether or not it is safe to share your popcorn with your dog.

Popcorn is actually healthy for your dog! It contains potassium and calcium and is very low on calories when prepared all-natural. However, all the butter and sugar isn’t very good for your dog.

K9 Nation have prepared a simple dog-friendly recipe, helping to celebrate National Popcorn Day!

Cook Time - 15 Mins

Ingredients

1/2 cup Peanut Butter (no Xylitol*)

1/2 cup all-natural Popping Kernels

1 tsp Olive Oil

1/3 tsp all-natural Honey

Cook Time - 15 Mins

Ingredients

1/2 cup Peanut Butter (no Xylitol*)

1/2 cup all-natural Popping Kernels

1 tsp Olive Oil

1/3 tsp all-natural Honey

Directions

Put the oil in a pan on a medium-high heat.

Add a few kernels to the oil. When these pop, you can add the rest.

Add the rest of the kernels and wait for them to pop using a lid to keep them contained.

Once your kernels have popped, pull the pan off the heat and transfer your kernels to a large bowl.

Mix in your Honey and Peanut Butter until the popcorn is fully coated.

Using a tablespoon, gather the mixture into balls and set them on some wax paper. Add more honey if the mixture isn't coming together.

Let the popcorn balls fully cool and set.
